====== MPA X Module ======

The X module adds four analog input channels to an MPA Series controller. Select the input type for each channel with its DIP switches. Up to five X and F modules can be combined, for a total of 20 channels.

===== Match the signal to the function block =====

Set the DIP switches for the signal on each channel. In MP STUDIO, press ''['' to insert the function block, then set the channel, value range, and destination D memory. One channel cannot take an analog signal and an NTC sensor at the same time.

===== Example: read a voltage =====

Set CH0 to DC 0–5 V. In ''ADC'', set the minimum to ''0'', maximum to ''30000'', and destination to ''D0''. At 2.5 V, ''D0'' reads approximately ''15000''. Sensor and conversion tolerances may affect the actual value.

For a 4–20 mA sensor, select ''ADC2''. ''ADC'' does not treat 4 mA as the start of the measurement range.

===== Check before use =====

  * Confirm that the ordered product includes an X module.
  * Match each channel's signal type, DIP switch setting, and wiring.
  * If F modules are also installed, check the combined X/F channel count.
