====== MPA Y Module ====== The Y module adds three analog output channels to an MPA Series controller. Each channel's DIP switch and MP STUDIO function block determine the output range. Y and K modules can provide up to 12 output channels in total. ===== Select the output range ===== ^ DIP switch ^ Function block ^ V+ terminal ^ I+ terminal ^ | ON | ''DAC'' | DC 0–5 V | DC 0–10 mA | | ON | ''DAC2'' | DC 1–5 V | DC 2–10 mA | | OFF | ''DAC'' | DC 0–10 V | DC 0–20 mA | | OFF | ''DAC2'' | DC 2–10 V | DC 4–20 mA | Use ''V+'' for voltage or ''I+'' for current. The negative terminal is connected internally to GND. Match the DIP switch setting to the input type of the connected equipment. ===== Example: set an output value ===== With CH0's DIP switch OFF, ''DAC'' minimum ''0'', maximum ''100'', and output value ''10'', the ''V+'' terminal outputs approximately 1 V. In MP STUDIO, press ''['' to insert ''DAC'', then set the channel and value range. ===== Check before use ===== * Confirm that the ordered product includes a Y module. * Connect voltage inputs to ''V+'' and current inputs to ''I+'' after checking the receiving device's input specification. * ''DAC'' and ''DAC2'' have different zero points. For 4–20 mA, use DIP OFF with ''DAC2''. * If K modules are also installed, check the combined Y/K channel count.
