====== Safety and Installation Precautions ====== Because ILOGICS products are used in industrial equipment, safe operation requires consideration of power, wiring, protective circuits, and risk assessment of the entire machine, as well as correct program operation. ===== Essential Rules ===== * Turn off the power before wiring, connecting modules, or changing DIP switches. * Distinguish supply voltage, input voltage, load voltage, current per point, and total COM current. * Do not infer electrical ratings from other models when they are not specified in the product manual. * Provide separate back-EMF and inrush-current protection for inductive loads. * Implement emergency stops, overcurrent protection, interlocks, and any required redundant safety circuits independently of the MCU. * Design the circuit and program so the equipment enters a safe state when outputs are OFF. ===== Relay and Transistor Outputs ===== The relay contact component's maximum rating is not a product rating valid for every load. Transistor outputs use an N-CH FET SINK configuration and require an external load supply and COM wiring. ===== Analog Signals ===== Confusing the DIP-switch settings or wiring for voltage and current inputs can damage the product and connected equipment. Before connecting a signal, verify its actual type and range with a multimeter. ===== Unspecified Items ===== Ask ILOGICS about any explosion protection, ingress-protection rating, dielectric strength, operating temperature/humidity, certification, wire size, or tightening torque not specified in the current product documentation. This document does not replace the product-specific manual or equipment safety standards. Before installation, check the latest manual for the selected product and the site's safety requirements.
