MPA F Module

The F module adds four PT100 temperature sensor inputs to an MPA Series controller. It supports two-wire and three-wire sensors. Up to five X and F modules can be combined, for a total of 20 channels.

For a two-wire sensor, connect the leads to the channel's A and B terminals and link B to B′. For a three-wire sensor, connect the leads to A, B, and B′. Check the terminal markings and sensor lead arrangement on the ordered product before wiring.

In MP STUDIO, set the sensor channel and destination D memory in the PTEMP function block. For example, if CH0 writes 642 to D0, the temperature is 64.2°C. The stored value is in units of 0.1°C; the measurement range is −200 to +800°C.

• Confirm that the ordered product includes an F module.
• The two-wire and three-wire connections differ. Check each channel's sensor wiring and terminal markings.
• If X modules are also installed, check the combined X/F channel count.
