MNET-32A32R
MNET-32A32R Communication I/O Controller
MNET-32A32R is a communication-type industrial I/O controller with 32 isolated digital inputs and 32 relay outputs. Onboard RS-232, RS-485, UART, I²C, operating as a Modbus RTU or LS ELECTRIC Cnet slave — the protocol is chosen at order time. It runs no user program: a master device such as a PC, HMI or PLC reads and writes the I/O over the serial link. DIN-rail mountable for automation, testing, HMI integration and machine control.
Chosen once, at order time. It cannot be changed to the other protocol after the unit ships.
International shipping (EMS) — calculated at checkout by destination & weight
Shipping weight 1.05 kg (per unit)
Ships the next business day (regardless of order time)
Large orders may take 1 extra day to dispatch
Cancel before dispatch · request a return/exchange after delivery

Communication terminals
MNET-32A32R is a communication slave: a PC, SCADA station, HMI or PLC opens one serial link and the field I/O becomes a set of addresses it reads and writes. The protocol — Modbus RTU or LS ELECTRIC Cnet — is fixed at order time and cannot be changed after shipping.
| Terminal | Silkscreen poles | Count |
|---|---|---|
| RS-232 | TX · RX · GND | 3-pole |
| RS-485 | 485+ · 485− | 2-pole |
| UART | TXD · RXD · GND | 3-pole |
| I2C / Int VCC | SDA · SCL · +5V · GND | 4-pole |
| POWER | +24V · GND · F.G | 3-pole |
The three links are alternatives, not three simultaneous channels — wire the port your master actually uses.
Communication start-up sequence
- Confirm the protocol you ordered — Modbus RTU slave or LS ELECTRIC Cnet slave. One unit speaks one of them.
- With the power off, wire ONE of the serial ports — RS-232 · RS-485 · UART — to your master.
- Set the baud rate and the slave address (0 – 15) on the unit's dip switches.
- Match the master to those settings: baud rate, data bits, parity, stop bits and the slave address it targets.
- Apply power on the POWER terminal (+24V · GND · F.G).
- Read one input point to prove the link — Modbus 0 / Cnet P0000.
- Then drive one output point — Modbus 32 / Cnet P0032.
- Once both answer, map the full address list into your master's tag table.
Digital input and relay output
32 isolated inputs and 32 dry relay contacts. Each side divides into groups with a common of its own — the inputs into 4 of 8, the relay outputs into 8 of 4 — and the two sides are wired independently.
Digital input
| Item | Rating |
|---|---|
| Points | 32P, 8P 1COM |
| Input voltage | DC 5V ~ 24V |
| Input type | NPN / PNP |
| Isolation | Photocoupler isolated |
Relay output
| Item | Rating |
|---|---|
| Points | 32P, 4P 1COM |
| Contact rating | Max. DC30V or AC300V 5A |
| Output type | Relay (Dry Contact) |
| Isolation | Relay isolated |
Inputs: 8 points per common, so 4 commons. Relay outputs: 4 points per common, so 8 commons. The two sides are wired independently.
Basic I/O addresses
Once the link is up, using this unit is reading and writing decimal addresses: inputs 0 to 31, outputs 32 to 63, status bit 1000. The LS ELECTRIC Cnet side maps the same points onto its P area.
DIGITAL INPUT
RELAY OUTPUT
Addresses are decimal, exactly as the manufacturer's map prints them. COM poles carry no address because the master never addresses a common.
| Item | Points | Modbus RTU | LS Cnet | Access |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Digital input | 32 pt | 0 ~ 31 | P0000 ~ P0031 | Read |
| Relay output | 32 pt | 32 ~ 63 | P0032 ~ P0063 | Read / Write |
| Status bit | 1 pt | 1000 | M0000 | Read |
Modbus function codes are not published for this model, so none are printed here. Confirm them with ILOGICS before writing the master.
DIP switch settings
Communication speed and station number are set on the unit itself, with no software involved: in both blocks the leftmost switch is the most significant bit and a slider pushed toward ON counts. Every unit on one RS-485 bus needs a station number of its own, and the range is 0 – 15.

Option modules
Analog input, PT100Ω temperature, analog output and pulse output arrive as modules built into the same enclosure, chosen in the options above. The name 32A32R-X2FYK means 32A32R plus two X modules, one F, one Y and one K.
| Module | Type | Detail | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| X | Analog input | 4 points (DC 0–5 V, DC 0–10 V, 0(4)–20 mA, NTC sensor) | up to 5 modules (20 points) |

Option module addresses
| Module | Channels | Modbus RTU | LS Cnet |
|---|---|---|---|
| X1 | 0 ~ 3 | 2000 ~ 2003 | D0000 ~ D0003 |

| Y3 | 6 ~ 8 | 2026 ~ 2028 | D0026 ~ D0028 |
| Y4 | 9 ~ 11 | 2029 ~ 2031 | D0029 ~ D0031 |
| K1 | 0 ~ 1 | 2060 ~ 2065 | D0060 ~ D0065 |
| K2 | 2 ~ 3 | 2066 ~ 2071 | D0066 ~ D0071 |
Channels are shown where the manufacturer's map labels them. X3–X5 and F3–F5 are drawn with their addresses only, so only the addresses are given.
| NTC mode | Modbus RTU | LS Cnet |
|---|---|---|
| X1 | 2080 ~ 2083 | D2080 ~ D2083 |
| X2 | 2084 ~ 2087 | D2084 ~ D2087 |
An X module set to NTC mode is read from these registers, not from its analog addresses above. The manufacturer's map prints this block for X1 and X2 only.
Changing the pulse frequency or the number of pulse outputs is a made-to-order change — ask ILOGICS.
Important notesX · F · Y · K
Expansion modules (X · F · Y · K) are built into the same enclosure as the base unit, in the configuration you order. That is why the combinations have limits.
Before you order
- Adding an expansion module means the unit is assembled to your order, so such an order is difficult to exchange or refund.
- Analogue input (X) and PT100Ω temperature input (F) — up to 20 points between them.
- Analogue output (Y) and Pulse output (K) — up to 12 points between them.
- A combination that cannot be built is disabled in the option selector, so it cannot be chosen.
FAQ
How many I/O points does the MNET-32A32R have?▾
The MNET-32A32R provides 32 isolated digital inputs and 32 relay outputs, with onboard RS-485, RS-232, UART, I²C communication. See the specification table for the full breakdown.
Does the MNET-32A32R support Modbus RTU?▾
Yes, as a SLAVE. The MNET-32A32R answers a master — a PC program, HMI or PLC — over RS-232, RS-485 or UART. The protocol is chosen when you order: Modbus RTU slave or LS ELECTRIC Cnet slave. It is never the master, and it runs no user program.
