Box-function inputs and example results

1. JMP and JMPN

JMP

Jump

When the left condition is ON, moves to a later label in the same ladder and skips the ladder rows between. Skipped outputs and calculation targets retain their previous values.

Syntax: JMP L1

Arguments

  • 1st = label: label name to jump to (any alphanumeric, must match a label entered in a cell)
Run condition Before Command entered Expected result
Left condition ON Outputs and calculation targets before L1 JMP L1 Rungs up to L1 are skipped; their values are held

JMPN

Jump if Not

When the left condition is OFF, moves to a later label in the same ladder. Its other behavior and limits are the same as JMP.

Syntax: JMPN L1

Arguments

  • 1st = label: label name to jump to (any alphanumeric, must match a label entered in a cell)
Run condition Before Command entered Expected result
Left condition OFF Outputs and calculation targets before L1 JMPN L1 Rungs up to L1 are skipped; their values are held

2. MCS and MCSCLR

MCS

Master Control Set

Starts a master control zone at a level from 0 to 15. When the left condition is OFF, coils in the zone up to the matching MCSCLR are processed as OFF.

Syntax: MCS 0

Arguments

  • 1st = level: 0 to 15; use lower numbers for outer zones
Run condition Before Command entered Expected result
Left condition OFF MCS 0 zone MCS 0 Zone coils are OFF; calculation and transfer targets hold

MCSCLR

Master Control Clear

Ends the master control zone at the specified level and any inner zones.

Syntax: MCSCLR 0

Arguments

  • 1st = level: the same number from 0 to 15 as the MCS to end
Run condition Before Command entered Expected result
After MCS 0 Level 0 zone is active MCSCLR 0 Ends level 0 and its inner master-control zones

3. Troubleshooting

Symptom What to check
The jump label cannot be found. Check for a label with exactly the same spelling in the same ladder.
Outputs outside the MCS zone turn OFF. Check the MCS and MCSCLR level numbers and nesting order.
