How to read model names
- The leading number in
8A,16A,24A, etc. is the number of digital inputs. - The number before
Ris the number of relay outputs. - The number before
Tis the number of transistor outputs. 16A8R8Tis a mixed-output model with 16 digital inputs, 8 relay outputs, and 8 transistor outputs.-Sand-SUare compact products with only 1 serial communication channel.

MNET — 4 communication slave I/O models
Control I/O with the Modbus RTU or LS Industrial Systems Cnet protocol.
The CPU module includes DIP switches for selecting the baud rate and slave address.
1 RS-232 channel, 1 RS-485 channel, and 1 UART channel are available.
The analog inputs/outputs, temperature sensor inputs, and high-speed pulse outputs below are maximum channel counts with optional modules installed. They are separate from the base digital I/O counts.

Choosing relay or transistor outputs

Relays can control higher-power AC and DC loads than transistors, but have an operating life of approximately 100,000 cycles and may suffer contact welding during rapid switching.
Transistors have no mechanical-contact service-life limit and operate silently, unlike relays, but can control only DC loads. Allowable voltage and current vary by product; check the detailed specifications of the selected product. (AC control is not supported.)
