MPINO STUDIO 2 Phase 4-5 · Transfer Box Functions
These commands copy one value, a contiguous range, or one value into a range.
This ladder screen compares the input forms of MOV, GMOV, and FMOV.
1. Common Rules
Use MOV for one value, GMOV for a contiguous range, and FMOV to fill a range with one value. The third argument gives the number of values in a block transfer.
2. MOV
Move
Copies one source value to the destination.
Syntax: MOV D0 D1
Arguments
- 1st = S: address or constant (value to copy)
- 2nd = D: value destination address

3. GMOV
Group Move
Copies a contiguous range of D, C, or T WORD values to a destination range in the same order.
Syntax: GMOV D0 D10 3
Arguments
- 1st = S: source start address
- 2nd = D: destination start address
- 3rd = N: number of words to copy

4. FMOV
Fill Move
Reads one D, C, or T WORD address and fills a contiguous destination WORD range with that value.
Syntax: FMOV D0 D10 3
Arguments
- 1st = source: D, C, or T WORD address to read
- 2nd = destination: first D, C, or T WORD address to fill
- 3rd = count: number of WORDs to fill

5. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| The block-transfer result overlaps. | Check whether the source and destination ranges overlap and whether the count matches the required range. |
