Important: MPA is not an abbreviation for MPAINO. MPAINO is an Arduino product, while MPA is an MP STUDIO ladder product. MNET also does not accept downloaded Arduino or ladder programs.

How to read model names

  • The leading number in 8A, 16A, 24A, etc. is the number of digital inputs.
  • The number before R is the number of relay outputs.
  • The number before T is the number of transistor outputs.
  • 16A8R8T is a mixed-output model with 16 digital inputs, 8 relay outputs, and 8 transistor outputs.
  • -S and -SU are compact products with only 1 serial communication channel.

This is an all-in-one PCB product. The product includes all functions, including analog functions in addition to I/O.

MNET — 4 communication slave I/O models

Control I/O with the Modbus RTU or LS Industrial Systems Cnet protocol.

The CPU module includes DIP switches for selecting the baud rate and slave address.

1 RS-232 channel, 1 RS-485 channel, and 1 UART channel are available.

Choosing relay or transistor outputs

Relays can control higher-power AC and DC loads than transistors, but have an operating life of approximately 100,000 cycles and may suffer contact welding during rapid switching.

Transistors have no mechanical-contact service-life limit and operate silently, unlike relays, but can control only DC loads. Allowable voltage and current vary by product; check the detailed specifications of the selected product. (AC control is not supported.)
